Our new center will be dedicated on Saturday, June 8, 2013.  You are invited to join us for our first annual Flying 5K Run and 1-Mile Memorial Walk to honor veterans. Great prizes from our sponsors!

There will be Big Band and Swing music from the Garretttones, local food and a classic car show!  Meet Metro Life Flight helicopter pilots and emergency medical staff.

Bring your kids out for a fun day at the airport.  Rocketship car rides all day!  The Tuskeegee Airmen and the movie, Rise Above will be here. The East Central Ohio Pilot’s Association will be hosting a fly-in and safety seminar on the north ramp in hangar C1 from 10:00 AM to noon.  See vintage airplanes.  Kids aged 8-17 can register for a free Young Eagles flight from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM with pilots from local EAA Chapters 5 and 1455.  The Corsair Model Aircraft Club will have model aircraft in the main hangar to see all day.

Winners of Flying 5K Race in the men’s and women’s division will win a helicopter ride around the airport!  Local balloon twister, entertainer Mot Buchanan will be here to amaze you with his colorful sculptures and magic.  Meet the pilots from Lost in Oscar Hotel and see the two 1946 Piper J3 Cubs that flew on a 9-day 1,809 mile adventure to land in all of Ohio’s 88 counties.
